When we pay for something, we give it a value and a worth in our lives. Free things often pass us by with little thought. It’s the commitments that make the difference. Knowledge workers are under threat today, by a difficult economy, by capital interests that want to target you with ads and product placements, and by an algorithm that wants to get you hooked. What a choice then, to say, I’m going to pursue my own hobbies, my own lifestyle, my own passion. I’m going to read what I love. I’m going to engage with creators that enrich my life and add to my world. We’re often reluctant to pay for things these days. But then again, that’s not true? We buy more things than ever. It’s about the intention – what we want to pay for. What do you think is worth paying for? Where do you want your money to go at the end of the month? We should all make an effort to spend or put our money into something. After all, where intention goes, energy flows. I’ve chosen to direct my intention to my blog and Youtube channel. I spent years crafting my channel and message. I did it for myself – more than anyone else. Every video I made taught me something. Every video was hours of research and often prefaced with community discussions, surveys, studies, and countless books. Some videos I recorded in one go, some took multiple attempts to perfect.
